PSU sailing: Fwd: [NWICSA] NWICSA Team Race Championship Results

Hi everyone! 

PSU did a great job this past weekend at team race champs and learned a lot about racing rules and got in some quality practice time.   I am trying to get tabs on who is going to UVIC and Gorge invite. (uvic-may10-11) (invite-may 17-18) We can bring an infinite amount of people to gorge invite (its only 45 minutes away!)  The more people that come, the better!   Also, if anyone has interest in laser competitions (great regatta for it).  Anyways, come out to practice this week, it seems like the fair weather is rolling in.  We have it mon-wed this week at 3, and mon-wed- fri next week at 3, at WSC.  Directions on our website if ya haven't made it down yet. http://sailing.groups.pdx.edu/

 Saturday:
 
 Winds 4-8knts in a shifty NE breeze, 17 races were completed in the
 
 first round robin under gray skies and rain showers with temperatures
 
 in the upper 50s
 
 No protests and no breakdowns were filed
 
 
 
 Sunday:
 
 6 races were sailed in the early morning to complete the first round
 
 robin. A building breeze 6-8knts from the NE provided time for a top
 
 three finals double round robin and a consolation single round robin.
 
 Blue skies and temperatures in the high 60s.
 
 No protests and no breakdowns were filed
 
 
 
 Thanks to the Willamette Sailing Club, Bill Symes, Kyle Eaton,
 
 Charissa Benson, George Yioulos and Lisa Marsaudon for their help.
