PSU sailing: Victoria Recap
Hey Sailors,
We had a great time in Victoria BC this past weekend. Two teams/ 10
people drove up to Vancouver, BC Friday night and we took the ferry
over to Victoria on Saturday morning. We had an interesting time with
customs since two people (who shall remain unnamed) in one of the cars
forgot their passports, and they other car accidentally went back in
the US after crossing the border and ended up having to go through
customs three times to enter. Once in Victoria we had a wonderful
time. Saturday we had very light wind and overcast skies but managed
to get 4 races off in both divisions. That night Uvic rented out a
nightclub and put on an amazing event. Sunday races were great with
wind in the upper twenty knots. Several boats capsized repeatedly and
on boat was even demasted. Our varsity team placed 8th and JV placed
10th out of 13 teams. I'm very proud of our JV sailors for holding
their own and beating both Uvic Teams and Wsu. I'd like to thank Uvic
for being so hospitable and putting on an amazing regatta, we'll
defiantly be going back next year. I'd also like to thanks Tyler's
parents for letting us take over their house on mother's day and
providing us with some much needed food.

Next weekend is the PSU Gorge Invite at Cascade Locks. We'll be
hosting the final collegiate regatta of the year, so you know it's
going to be a good on. If you would like to come let me, Josh, or
Stevi know asap, the more the merrier. If you have any questions
please let me know. Hope to see you all Wednesday, and Friday at
practice around 3:15.
